As soon as I met Lara and Shawn at Starbucks for our consult, I knew it would be a blast to work with them. Never taking themselves too seriously, I feel like we just clicked. We met downtown Tampa for their engagement session. Thankfully the rain stopped in time for their session and made the night nice and cool – but WINDY. Lara fought her long hair the whole night (it put up quite a fight). Even though the wind was a struggle at times, I loved shooting these building lines and reflections. I think it’s a great compliment for where they are getting married (a new church that has won architecture awards). We walked around, laughed, talked about some inventive child discipline methods and I got to hear their fantastic engagement story. ┬áNow on to the next chapter…

I had so much fun with you two! I can’t wait until your wedding in May!

  • [...] Lara & Shawn have a soft spot in my heart. From the moment I met them several months ago, we became instant friends. If you know them, they love to laugh and crack each other up often. They love food and wine and live music. They love their church’s simple architecture. And they love each other. A whole lot. I was so happy I could capture their wedding day for them. I wish you lots of love and happiness in the years to come! (Check out their engagement session here) [...]
