How much do I love John + Libby? Oh so much. I met Libby only a few months ago. She was planning a quick wedding and I happened to be available for her date. We talked and did their engagement session the next day. When she booked me she didn’t even have a wedding venue yet. People told her there was no way she could pull a wedding together in such a short time, but she and John prayed and a venue happened to come available. She found her perfect dress. They located the perfect shoes for John. And one thing after another fell into place.
Normally the ceremony is not my favorite part of the day. Not because it’s not special or important, but it’s usually the same from wedding to wedding. This ceremony was different. Not only did the beautiful park and sunshine aid in the gorgeousness of the union, but John and Libby really put heartfelt thought and love into it. Their faith is very important to them and played a huge part in their ceremony. And it was beautiful.
All the girls picked a pair of shoes that were a solid color of one of the colors from Libby’s flats.
As part of the ceremony, they washed each others feet. So simple and so powerful.
-together at last-
Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot wash it away.
